MAD Dash 5K

The 8th Annual MAD Dash 5K will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 8:00 AM at Fisher River Park in Dobson, NC. Register now for Surry County Schools Educational Foundation 8th Annual MAD Dash 5K/Fun Run and you will be “Making a Difference” in the lives of all students in Surry County Schools. The 5K will be run in-person in a safe, socially-distanced manner, and we have added a virtual option to allow you to run or walk the 5K on your own time and wherever you choose. GROW Strong school teams will run their 5K on different dates to be scheduled by their PE teacher.Registration Fees:
- 5K In-Person or Virtual:
- $25.00 by April 9
- $30.00 April 10 thru race day
- Surry County Schools students - $20.00
- Kid's Fun Run - $15.00
**Runners will start in 15 minute waves beginning at 8:00 AM. Participants must register for a wave start time during registration with a maximum of 25 participants per wave.5K participants registered by April 9th will receive a short-sleeved, performance event t-shirt.Email millsa@surry.k12.nc.us for a paper registration form.

MAD Dash Corporate Team ChallengeForm a team of your friends or coworkers and join us for the MAD Dash Corporate Team Challenge. Two separate prize categories will be awarded - Team Participation Award (most participants) and Fastest Team. Choose the option to "Create a new team" or "Join an existing team" when you register online:
- A minimum of 5 team members are required to be eligible for the fastest team award; no maximum. (Fewer than 5 may participate in the challenge, but will not be considered for the awards).
- The team's score is calculated as the average finish time of the top 5 finishers on the team. The fastest team score wins.
- Team members are also eligible for individual awards.

COVID-19 Race Guidelines
You should plan to arrive at the race site approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time assigned to you. If you arrive early, please wait in your car until the half-hour window prior to your race.
You must wear a face mask from the time you arrive until you are in position
at the starting area.
During your 30-minute arrival window, proceed to the screening/check-in area.
At the check-in area, you will answer COVID-19 screening questions, have your temperature checked, sign a race waiver, and receive your race packet.
You may remove your mask when you are at the Starting Line just before the start of your wave.
After you have crossed the finish line, please put your mask back on, grab a bottled water and pre-packaged snack, then head home to watch the LIVE results online.
There will be no post-race awards ceremony.
Race awards will be available for pickup after the race. Pickup date and location will be announced.
